Erasing the Distance is a 5-year old non-profit organization dedicated to shedding light on mental illness through theatre. Organizational Areas of Focus: Theatre, Mental Health, Education, and Advocacy
Position Sought: Managing Director
Employment Type: 30 – 40 hours per week, depending on candidate
General Skills and Qualifications: The right candidate will have verifiable skills, experience and past success in operational management, financial and strategic planning, fundraising, and the navigation of board relations. He/she should have the ability to handle a variety of projects, tasks, and deadlines, possess inherent leadership skills and initiative, and have the ability to flourish in a fast-paced organization. The right candidate should also be comfortable developing new protocols and systems as well as maintaining and managing them effectively. It is preferable that he/she has a Baccalaureate degree in business, non-profit management, fine arts management, or in another appropriate academic discipline. Strong writing, verbal, and interpersonal skills are a must.
Areas of Job Responsibility: Strategic Planning, Fundraising, Financial Management, Board Relations, and Human Resource Management.
