Falling Petals

In our last post, I mentioned a few of the many projects coming up this fall.  Today, I want to share a bit more about one of these projects, Falling Petals, coming up on October 2nd.

Cherry Blossom artwork by Asian-American artist Alfred Li Tsao will be on display and for sale at Falling Petals
We are collaborating with the Asian American Suicide Prevention Initiative (AASPI) to present a custom production shedding light on how mental health issues and suicide affect the Asian-American community.

Something new we are are doing for Falling Petals is integrating multi-lingual visual art into the event.
From the moment you enter the lobby, there will be ways to engage with the themes of the production, including an interactive installation based on Asian-Americans' feelings towards mental health and suicide. Audiences will be invited to contribute their own "petals" to the installation.
