Partnering with MHAI on Feb 1st

On Monday, February 1st, Erasing the Distance is proud to be performing a special custom show, Salvaging Hope, at The Theatre Building Chicago for Mental Health America of Illinois' speaker series. The evening will include a reception followed by a 90-minute theatrical experience, sharing 6 true stories, performed by professional actors. I am confident that the show will captivate attention, challenge assumptions, and touch hearts.

The performance will feature actors Jennifer Mathews, Meredith Siemsen, Craig C. Thompson, Remy Ortiz, Eddie Jordan III, and Brighid O'Shaughnessy. Our ensemble will tell the stories of real people affected by PTSD, OCD, Schizophrenia, substance addiction, Bipolar Disorder, and Depression. After the performance Brighid, our Executive Artistic Director, will lead one of our signature facilitated dialogues with the audience to digest and discuss what they have just seen.

I wish I could invite all of our readers to reserve their FREE tickets today and join us Monday night, and indeed I would if we had not already sold out for the event!

If you already made your reservation I look forward to meeting you at the six o'clock reception before sitting down to enjoy the show. But if not, I hope you will come back to the blog next week; we are so excited to be working with the wonderful people at MHAI and the Theatre Building, and I can't wait to tell you all about how it goes.

Disappointed to be missing the show?

We have a custom performance, Release and Let Go, featuring 3 brand new stories at University of Chicago coming up on February 10th at 6pm! The performance is open to the public and free to attend. Check out our organizational calender for the details.

We also have an exciting collaboration with critically acclaimed author Abby Sher and Flourish Studioson the horizon! Come back soon to hear all about it.
