Focus on Breathing

Stress can negatively affect the body and mind. Breathing exercises inspired by karate or meditation teach mindfulness of breath and help relieve tension. You can start right now!

Close your eyes, and inhale deeply through your nose, letting the air fill your stomach and expand your rib cage.


Slowly release the breath through your mouth, and make a HUM sound as you exhale. Let your body and mind relax.


After a few deep breaths, let your jaw hang wide open and release air and tension with a long "AHHH" sound, or whatever sound you want! Breathe in and let it out!
